Tree Removal

Root Crown Excavation
On a mature Red Oak in Kinderhook
- Remove sod and excess soil mounded up on the trunk of the tree using compressed air and an air tool.
- Remove more soil to reveal girdling roots that would choke the tree at the base.
- Continue to remove soil and decompact the soil in the root zone of the tree, in 6-8′ radius of the tree.
- A slurry of bio-stimulant and micorizae was applied to the roots, soil back filled smooth and leaving the root flair exposed.
- Then organic tree mulch was applied 4″ inches” thick.
